32 Hour Ammonia Responder Course

The 32-Hour Ammonia Responder Course is a unique class that combines a stimulating classroom experience with hands-on training scenarios, including live drills, as well as the opportunity to connect with experts in the ammonia field.  This course is offered annually in the Monterey Bay area.  

This course is designed for the ammonia technician and for those who instruct, respond to, and manage ammonia emergency events.  It's a course for seasoned responders, trainers, and managers to learn more about the challenges of handling emergency events.  

In this course, we get chemical and physical characteristics of ammonia from a professor of chemistry and physics, and health effects seen from the eye of a doctor.

ASTI instructors have traveled across the United States and around the globe to bring safety training courses to people who work with and respond to anhydrous ammonia events.  The feature program, the One Plan, provides a unique method of preventing, preparing for, responding to and recovering from incidents involving ammonia and other chemicals.  ASTI training courses engage students with hands-on learning techniques supported by state-of-the-art textbooks and multimedia presentations.
